Why, other than the cost of the invigilators, are the exams against the clock in the first place?
The article suggests that 1 in 6 are getting extra time anyway. After a year of study the time to sit the exam will be alright for some, a tight squeeze for others and for some all the time will make no difference to the grade.
Could there be a cheaper way to raise grades than giving all the pupils all the time they want to complete an exam paper.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
